At Least 1 Severely Hurt in Essex Car Crash at Needles (40) Freeway and Kelbaker Road

Essex, California (April 10, 2019) – At least one person was seriously injured in an accident involving a truck and a pickup in Essex Wednesday morning.
The collision, which was reported at about 4:54 a.m., occurred on Needles (40) Freeway and Kelbaker Road.
As per the California Highway Patrol, the pickup truck was allegedly traveling at a high rate of speed in the No. 2 lane when it collided with a FedEx truck. The impact of the collision caused the pickup to overturn.
Two other semi-tractor trailer trucks were also involved in the wreck.
At Least 1 Seriously Hurt in Essex Car Crash
At least one person sustained serious injuries in the crash. The victim was airlifted to University Medical Center in Las Vegas. Another party was trapped inside one of the involved vehicles but was extricated by the firefighters.
No more details regarding the wreck have been released to this time.
The investigation is still ongoing.
