Major Injuries Sustained in 15 Freeway DUI Accident near El Norte Parkway in Escondido
Escondido, California (July 27, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a major injury collision that happened early Saturday morning in Escondido.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place at about 2:13 a.m. on southbound 15 Freeway near El Norte Parkway.
CHP said three vehicles were involved in the accident. The manner of the collision was not reported.
Several people were injured in the crash. Paramedics said the victims sustained major but non-life threatening injuries. The patients were transported to hospitals for treatment.
Authorities said alcohol or drugs were involved in the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
