Authorities Investigating Wednesday Evening Escondido Collision on Highway 78 at Broadway
Escondido, California (June 18, 2020) – The California Highway Patrol officers are investigating a Wednesday evening Highway 78 car crash that occurred in Escondido, resulting in major injuries.
As per the CHP report, the crash transpired at about 6:31 p.m. in the eastbound lanes of the highway at Broadway.
A white Nissan and a red pickup truck collided under unclear circumstances.
Firefighters responded to the scene to help the victims. As per the fire officials, major injuries were sustained in the crash. The number of victims, however, was not mentioned.
An ambulance was sent to the scene to take the victims to the hospital.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
