Ernie Taylor ID’d as Placerville Man Killed in Cameron Park Pedestrian Accident on Green Valley Road
Cameron Park, California (November 17, 2020) – Ernie Taylor, 66, of Placerville, has been identified as the man who was hit and killed by a vehicle on Thursday afternoon in Cameron Park.
The deadly pedestrian accident happened at about 1:15 p.m., on November 12, in the Rite Aid parking lot on Green Valley Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Taylor, who was walking through the pharmacy’s parking lot, was struck by a 2016 Lexus RX 450, driven by a 90-year-old Shingle Springs woman.
The 90-year-old woman was reportedly backing the vehicle from the front of the store. She was reversing in a southerly direction.
Ernie Taylor Killed in Pedestrian Crash on Green Valley Road
Taylor was transported to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
