Long Beach, California (July 26, 2021) – 30-year-old Erin Marlow has been identified as the Hemet woman who died following a head-on collision in Long Beach Sunday morning, according to a report by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.

The deadly wrong-way accident took place on the eastbound 91 Freeway at the Atlantic Avenue on-ramp just around 5:20 a.m.

A 2016 Honda driven by 21-year-old Sol Mitchell-Hall at high speed west in the eastbound lane of the roadway, at State College and Beach boulevards, crashed head-on into a 2016 Chrysler operated by Marlow east in the carpool lane of the 91 Freeway.

As per the California Highway Patrol report, both Erin and the Palmdale resident, Sol Mitchell-Hall, were declared dead at the crash site.

Officials affirmed a third automobile was found damaged a short distance from the scene, but its motorist was not hurt.

The crash resulted in the closure of all lanes on the eastbound 91 Freeway for several hours.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
