Eric and Ashley ID’d as Couple Injured in Igo Motorcycle Crash on Gas Point Road near Marsha Way
Igo, California (February 12, 2021) – Eric and Ashley have been identified as the couple that was injured in a suspected DUI accident on Wednesday night in Igo, authorities said.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Gas Point Road near Marsha Way at about 7 p.m. on February 10.
Lydia McGee, 26, of Redding was driving a Mercury Mariner SUV northbound on Gas Point Road when she drifted into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with an oncoming motorcycle.
Eric and Ashley Injured in Crash on Gas Point Road
Eric and Ashley, who were on the motorcycle, were injured in the accident.
Eric was taken to a hospital by ambulance with a broken femur in each leg and a fractured arm. On the other hand, Ashley was transported to a nearby hospital by helicopter and is still in critical condition.
McGee was arrested and booked into the Shasta County Jail for DUI and hitting the couple.
No additional information about the accident was provided.
