Emmette Antoine Brown II Dies in Valley Center Motorcycle Accident on Valley Center Road near Mirar De Valle Road

Valley Center, California (July 9, 2019) – The 30-year-old Chula Vista man who was killed Sunday evening in a motorcycle accident in Valley Center has been identified as Emmette Antoine Brown II, according to the authorities.
The deadly crash was reported at about 4:10 p.m. Sunday, July 7, on Valley Center Road near Mirar De Valle Road.
As per the CHP report, Brown II was riding a 2007 Honda CBR600RR motorcycle southbound on Valley Center Road approaching the intersection with Mirar De Valle Road while a 39-year-old Valley Center man was driving a 2017 Nissan Altima eastbound on Mirar De Valle Road.
As the Nissan driver was approaching the intersection with Valley Center Road, he stopped at the stop sign at the intersection and pulled out onto Valley Center Road from Mirar De Valle Road.
The Nissan then started to turn left. In the process, the left rear of the Nissan was hit by the Honda motorcycle and the impact ejected Brown from the bike.

Brown was taken to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver of the Nissan was taken to Rady’s Hospital in San Diego with non-life-threatening injuries. Two passengers in the Nissan were also transported to Rady’s Hospital in San Diego with non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash caused the closure of Valley Center Road near Mirar De Valle Rd. The roadway was reopened at about 6:45 p.m.
It is undetermined if alcohol, drugs, or speed were factors in the crash.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
