Ellsworth Rudy ID’d as Rio Linda Man Killed in North Highlands Crash on Interstate 80 near Longview Drive
North Highlands, California (February 21, 2021) – Ellsworth Rudy, 82, of Rio Linda, has been identified as the man who was killed in a Thursday morning traffic accident in North Highlands, according to the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office.
The deadly single-vehicle accident occurred at about 8:40 a.m., on February 18, on Interstate 80 near Longview Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a dark-blue Chevrolet Silverado pickup, driven by Rudy, was headed westbound on Interstate 80 before getting on the Longview exit ramp.
Rudy reportedly lost control of the pickup and struck a guardrail and an overhead sign pole.

Sadly, Rudy sustained fatal injuries in the accident.
It was not clear if drugs or alcohol played a role in the accident.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
