One Killed in Elk Grove Crash on Interstate 5 near Elk Grove Boulevard
Elk Grove, California (October 3, 2019) – At least one person was killed in crash involving a big rig on Thursday morning in Elk Grove, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened at about 7:55 a.m. on Interstate 5 near Elk Grove Boulevard.
CHP said a sedan and a semi-truck collided in the fast lane of northbound I-5. Details on what led to the crash were not immediately available.
At Least 1 Killed in Elk Grove Crash
At least one person was killed in the crash. It’s unclear whether other involved parties were injured.
Northbound I-5 was reduced to one lane as crews worked to clear the scene.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
