5 Injured in Elk Grove Multi-Vehicle Accident at Laguna Boulevard and Dwight Road
Elk Grove, California (June 2, 2019) – Five people were hurt in a traffic collision that involved multiple vehicles in Elk Grove Sunday night.
The multi-vehicle accident occurred on Sunday night, June 2, at the intersection of Laguna Boulevard and Dwight Road.
The accident happened when a blue Lexus which was making a left-hand turn on Dwight Road crossed the median into oncoming traffic and crashed with a green Suzuki. Initial reports indicated that a total of four vehicles including a who had been returning from a trip to the grocery store were involved in the wreck.
Three drivers suffered unspecified injuries following the accident. Two of the drivers were transported to a hospital for treatment. A female party driver sustained a brunt of the injuries in the crash. Another adult female was also reported to have suffered critical injuries as a result of the wreck.
The crash resulted in the closure of the westbound lanes of Laguna Boulevard for hours as officers investigated the scene.
As per the police, overspending might be a factor during the occurrence of the accident.
No further information regarding the wreck has been released to this time.
