2 Hospitalized after Elk Grove Car Collision on 5 Freeway near Laguna Boulevard Off-Ramp
Elk Grove, California (December 21, 2019) – Two people were hospitalized after a traffic collision that happened Friday evening in Elk Grove, the California Highway Patrol reported.
CHP said at least two vehicles collided at around 6:03 p.m. on southbound 5 Freeway, just north of Laguna Boulevard off-ramp.
One person sustained major head injuries, and another suffered neck and head injuries. Both patients were transported to Kaiser Permanente South Sacramento Medical Center for treatment.
At least one of the cars involved had its airbags deployed.
Multiple vehicles were stopped near the crash scene.
CHP is investigating the accident.
