Elk Grove, California (May 7, 2019) – At least one person was injured after a two-vehicle crash early Monday morning in the area of Elk Grove, according to a California Highway Patrol report.

The collision happened at around 4:54 a.m. Monday, on northbound Grant Line Road, just north of Sunrise Boulevard.

As per the report, two vehicles crashed head-on for reasons still under investigation.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to at least one person who suffered injuries as a result of the crash. The name of the victim and their current condition was not immediately known.

Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.

Authorities closed northbound lanes following the crash.
