Major Injuries Sustained in El Monte Traffic Crash on Valley Boulevard On-Ramp to 10 Freeway
El Monte, California (January 16, 2018) – Authorities are investigating a major traffic collision that happened early Wednesday morning in El Monte.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident took place at about 4:50 a.m. on Valley Boulevard on-ramp to westbound 10 Freeway.
CHP officers said two vehicles were involved in the accident. The manner of the collision remained unknown. One of the vehicles went down an embankment after the impact.
At least one person sustained major injuries in the accident. Paramedics responded to the scene to transport the victim to the hospital.
Officers will determine the cause of the crash and the responsible party when they conclude their investigation.
