El Monte, California (March 21, 2021) – A driver was injured early Sunday morning in a single-vehicle traffic accident in El Monte, according to a local news source.
The crash happened at around 3:30 a.m. in the 11300 block of Stewart Street.
Authorities said a vehicle reportedly crashed into a power pole on Stewart Street.
Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and extricated the driver who was trapped in the wreckage.
The patient was then taken to County USC Medical Center with unknown injuries. The name and condition of the victim were not immediately disclosed.
Investigators believed speed played a role in the collision.
Stewart Street was temporarily blocked while the investigation took place.
