El Monte, CA: 3 Injured in DUI Crash on Valley Boulevard
3 Hospitalized after El Monte Truck Accident on Valley Boulevard; Alex Moreno Arrested
El Monte, California (June 11, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a DUI crash that left at least three people injured on Saturday evening in El Monte.
The crash happened at about 7:00 p.m., on June 6, at an intersection on Valley Boulevard.
A tow truck, driven by Alex Moreno, 38, reportedly crashed into three vehicles at the intersection before smashing into twelve other cars at a parking lot in a shopping center.
The truck then came to a rest after crashing into a metal fence and an electrical box.
3 Injured, Alex Moreno Arrested after Multi-Vehicle DUI Crash in El Monte
Three persons, including Moreno, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Moreno was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run and driving under the influence, and his bail was set at $100,000.
More details about the crash were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
