2 Injured in El Mirage Car Crash near El Mirage and Sheep Creek Roads
El Mirage, California (July 25, 2019) – Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision on Tuesday night in El Mirage, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place at about 11 p.m. July 23, in the area of El Mirage and Sheep Creek Roads.
CHP said a 42-year-old Adelanto man was driving a Nissan Sentra westbound on El Mirage Road when he allegedly fell asleep and drifted into the path of oncoming traffic. The Sentra collided head-on with an eastbound 2013 Ford Focus driven by a 46-year-old Lancaster woman.

Both drivers sustained major injuries and were airlifted by Mercy Air to Loma Linda Medical Center.
No other injuries were reported.
CHP said alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
