El Centro, CA: Transient Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle on 4th Street and Desert Garden Drive
54-Year-Old Man Killed in El Centro Pedestrian Accident on Fourth Street and Desert Garden Drive

El Centro, California (March 1, 2019) – A vehicle struck and killed a transient man in El Centro early Thursday morning, according to the El Centro Police Department.
The crash took place at about 12:29 a.m. February 28, on Fourth Street and Desert Garden Drive.
Police said Manuel Lopez of El Centro was driving northbound on 4th Street when he struck a man who was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk.
The victim, identified as a 54-year-old El Centro man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lopez reportedly remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
