1 Person Killed in El Cajon Pedestrian Crash at Washington and South Orange Avenues
El Cajon, California (September 11, 2020) – A pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle on Thursday night in El Cajon, authorities said.
The deadly crash happened at about 11:00 p.m., on September 10, at the intersection of Washington and South Orange avenues.
According to the police, the female pedestrian was crossing the road when a vehicle that was traveling westbound on Washington Avenue struck her.
First responders arrived at the scene and found the woman in her 50s with major head injuries, the officials said.
Fatal Pedestrian Crash at Washington and South Orange Avenues
Sadly, the pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
It was not clear if the woman was in a crosswalk at the time of the accident.
Drugs or alcohol did not play a role in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
