Two Firefighters Injured in El Cajon Fire Incident on Dehesa Road

El Cajon, California (July 18, 2019) – Two firefighters were injured in a fire incident that occurred on Wednesday afternoon near El Cajon, according to Cal Fire.
The fire started at about 4 p.m. July 17, in the 5500 block of Dehesa Road.

Authorities said the firefighters were fighting the blaze when two of them were injured. There was no update on the extent of injuries sustained by the firefighters.
The fire burned approximately 25 acres but no structure was damaged.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
