60-Year-Old Man Killed in El Cajon Crash on E. Main Street
El Cajon, California (June 4, 2021) – A man was struck and killed by a vehicle in El Cajon on Thursday night, according to the El Cajon Police Department.
The accident occurred in the 1900 block of E. Main Street at around 10 p.m. Thursday, June 3.
According to police, a man was trying to walk across the street outside of a crosswalk when he was struck by a gray Nissan Altima traveling eastbound on E. Main Street from Pepper Drive.
The victim, identified as a 60-year-old man, was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Police said the vehicle involved in the accident appeared to have been driven without headlights when the collision occurred.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Police said alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the incident.
The El Cajon Police Department is investigating the incident.
