2 Injured in El Cajon Crash on 8 Freeway near Johnson Avenue
El Cajon, California (February 10, 2019) – Two people were injured and transported to a hospital after being involved in a traffic crash on Saturday morning in El Cajon, a local news source reported.
The collision took place just after 11:00 a.m. February 9, along the Interstate 8 Freeway near Johnson Avenue.
As per the article, California Highway Patrol reported that five vehicles were involved in the wreck, which took place in the westbound lanes of the freeway. A white sports car slammed into the center divider and rolled over. It then collided with another car, eventually prompting a pileup involving three other vehicles.
Two people were injured as a result of the wreck. The victims were attended to by the paramedics along with fire department officials after which they were transported to a hospital to be treated for unspecified injuries. The identities of the victims were not revealed.
The authorities are carrying out an investigation to determine the exact cause of the wreck.
