Edith Honer ID’d as Woman Killed in Murrieta Crash on Interstate 15

Murrieta, California (November 14, 2020) – The Riverside County Sheriff coroner’s office has identified the woman who died in a two-vehicle crash Saturday morning on Interstate 15 in Murrieta as Edith Mary Honer, 88, of Murrieta.
The deadly accident transpired at about 9:44 a.m. on the northbound Murrieta Hot Springs Road on-ramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol, two vehicles collided on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
The force of the impact caused Honer to be ejected onto the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:54 a.m.
Traffic on the on-ramp was stopped for about three hours due to the accident.
Further details regarding the collision were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
