Edgar Hernandez Hospitalized after Fatal Motorcycle Crash on Highway 33 in Ventura County
Edgar Hernandez Identified as 1 of 2 Injured in Fatal Ventura County Motorcycle Accident on Highway 33

Ventura County, California (July 20, 2020) – Edgar Hernandez, 31, of Ventura, has been identified as the victim who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident that killed one person on Sunday afternoon in Ventura County, authorities said.
The deadly accident transpired at about 12:15 p.m., on July 19, on Highway 33.
A white 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Philip Stewart, 39, of San Francisco, was driving southbound Highway 33 when, for unknown reasons, it struck a motorcycle operated by Daniel Figueroa, 42, from Santa Barbara, the officials said.
Figueroa was reportedly traveling southbound, the police said.
Two other motorcyclists, Hernandez and Hector Romero-Gutierrez, 26, of Santa Barbara, were driving southbound on the highway behind Figueroa. The two riders swerved to avoid the collision and were ejected from their motorcycles.

Figueroa was pronounced dead at the scene.
Hernandez and Romero-Gutierrez were taken to Ventura County Medical Center with moderate injuries.
Traffic on the highway was stopped for approximately four hours due to the collision.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
