Eddie Avalos Killed in Sacramento Moped Accident on 66th Avenue
Eddie Avalos ID’d as 62-Year-Old Man Killed in Sacramento Moped Crash on 66th Avenue

Sacramento, California (March 13, 2020) – The man who was riding a moped when he was fatally struck by a vehicle on Tuesday evening in Sacramento has been identified as Eddie Felix Avalos, 62, of Sacramento, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened at about 7:20 p.m. March 10, on 66th Avenue.
According to the report, Avalos was riding a 2008 Lancer Moped when he pulled out from a private drive and was hit by a 2005 Acura MDX traveling east on 66th Avenue.

Avalos was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The driver of the Acura, a 19-year-old Sacramento man, was uninjured and stayed at the scene.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to be factors in the accident.
The CHP is conducting an investigation into the incident.
