San Francisco, California (March 31, 2021) – The pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle earlier this month in the Outer Mission neighborhood in San Francisco has been identified as Edda Cabrera, 79, of San Francisco.

The deadly pedestrian accident occurred at the intersection of Mission Street and Geneva Avenue on Tuesday, March 2.

Authorities said a red Honda sedan hit Cabrera at the intersection.

First responders arrived at the scene and found Cabrera lying in the street. She was then rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Honda sedan, an 83-year-old woman, stopped at the scene and was cooperative, investigators said.

Authorities also mentioned that they are searching for another vehicle, which may have been involved in the accident. The vehicle was described as a 2010-2014 black four-door Ford Raptor pickup truck with tinted windows.

Police said the Ford truck was involved in a collision with the Honda sedan before the Honda hit Cabrera.

The San Francisco Police Department’s Traffic Collision Investigation Unit is asking the owner of the Ford truck or the person driving it that day to call them at (415) 553-1641.
