Dyan Jones Killed in Rohnert Park Pedestrian Accident on Roberts Lake Road
Dyan Jones ID’d as Woman Struck, Killed by Vehicle on Roberts Lake Road near Highway 101 in Rohnert Park

Rohnert Park, California (October 15, 2019) – Dyan Jones, 38, died from injuries she sustained after being hit by a vehicle last month in Rohnert Park, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fatal pedestrian accident happened on Roberts Lake Road near Highway 101 off-ramp.
The CHP said Jones was attempting to cross the street outside of a designated crosswalk when she was struck by a Nissan Frontier driven by Jerry Douglas, 67, of Glen Ellen, who was traveling southbound on Roberts Lake Road.
According to the CHP, Douglas braked but was not able to avoid hitting Jones.
Jones was taken to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries on Sunday, October 13.
The CHP said Jones, who was not carrying identification at the time of the accident, was homeless and possibly living near the scene of the crash.
Douglas stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Neither alcohol nor drugs were factors in the accident.
Authorities are still investigating the cause of the accident.
