DurPree Battiest III ID’d as Teen Killed in Perris Crash at Bradley Road and Rider Street

Perris, California (June 1, 2021) – The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner’s Bureau has identified the teen who died Friday, five days after being involved in a two-car crash in Perris as DurPree Battiest III, 16, of Perris.
The accident happened at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 23, at the intersection of Bradley Road and East Rider Street.
Authorities said Battiest was a passenger in a Polaris RZR 1000 UTV that collided with a Toyota Camry at the intersection.
Deadly Off-Road Vehicle Crash in Perris
Paramedics responded to the scene and performed life-saving measures on Battiest and the Polaris driver before transporting them to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
On Friday, May 28, Battiest’s condition deteriorated and he died from his injuries. The driver’s current condition of was not disclosed.
A GoFundMe account has been established to help cover funeral expenses for Battiest.
