Driver Injured in San Francisco Muni Train Accident at Taraval Street and 43rd Avenue

San Francisco, California (March 18, 2019) – A driver was injured when their car collided with a Muni train Sunday afternoon in San Francisco’s Sunset District, authorities reported.
The crash happened at about 12:35 p.m. Sunday, March 17 near Taraval Street and 43rd Avenue.
According to the authorities, an outbound train collided with the vehicle for an unknown reason near the intersection. Both vehicles were moving when the crash happened.

Paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid to the driver of the vehicle. The name and condition of the patient were not immediately provided.
Authorities said two bus shuttles were sent to supplement train service between Taraval Street and Sunset Boulevard and Wawona Street and 46th Avenue.
Further details were not immediately available, and the crash remains under investigation.
