Dora Covarrubias Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 5 in San Diego
Dora Covarrubias ID’d as Woman Killed in San Diego Car accident on Interstate 5 connector to State Route 163

San Diego, California (September 11, 2020) – The name of the person who died in a fatal single-vehicle crash last week Thursday on Interstate 5 in San Diego has been released by the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Dora Covarrubias, 46, died in the crash that happened at around 5:36 p.m. Thursday, September 3, on northbound Interstate 5 connector to State Route 163.
Authorities said Covarrubias was driving her vehicle northbound on Interstate 5 when she tried to use the connecting ramp to the State Route 163 North and lost control of her vehicle.
The vehicle then overturned several times down the embankment.
Covarrubias was ejected from the vehicle as a result of the crash. He was the sole occupant of her vehicle.
Deadly Single-Vehicle Rollover Crash in San Diego
Covarrubias was taken by paramedics to Scripps Mercy Hospital, where she died while undergoing treatment at around 7:00 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
