Donato Gonsalez ID’d as Victim Killed in Huntington Beach Electrocution Accident on Seaport Drive near Beam Circle
Huntington Beach, California (August 22, 2019) – The man who died after being electrocuted by power lines while trimming palm trees in Huntington Beach has been identified as Donato Lopes Gonsalez, 39, of Costa Mesa.
The deadly accident happened on Seaport Drive near Beam Circle Sunday, August 18.
Police said Gonsalez was removing a palm frond when it came into contact with a power line. A worker noticed the victim hanging from his safety harness and called 911.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and performed CPR. Despite life-saving efforts, Gonsalez did not survive and was declared dead at the scene.
The accident remains under by the authorities.
