Dion Van Diermen ID’d as Man Killed in Huntington Beach Pedestrian Accident on Atlanta Avenue near Schooner Lane
Huntington Beach, California (April 20, 2019) – The man who was struck and killed by a vehicle late Thursday night in Huntington Beach has been identified as Dion Van Diermen, 32, of Huntington Beach, according to the police.
The incident was reported at about 11:55 p.m. April 18, on Atlanta Avenue west of Schooner Lane.
Police said a 4-Runner was traveling westbound on Atlanta Avenue when it struck Diermen, who was trying to cross the road.

Diermen was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle involved stayed at the scene.
The Huntington Beach Police Department is investigating the crash.
