Devon Dabba Struck, Killed by Vehicle on 5 Freeway in San Juan Capistrano
Devon Dabba ID’d as Man Killed in San Juan Capistrano Pedestrian Accident on 5 Freeway at Junipero Serra Road Off-Ramp
San Juan Capistrano, California (March 25, 2019) – The man who was struck and killed by a vehicle Friday evening while running across the 5 Freeway in San Juan Capistrano has been identified as Devon Dabba, 21 of San Juan Capistrano, according to the Orange County coroner’s office.
The deadly accident happened at an unknown time Friday, March 22 on the northbound side of San Diego Freeway at the Junipero Serra Road off-ramp.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Dabba was attempting to run across the freeway when he was hit by a 2003 Kia.
Pedestrian Fatally Hit by Vehicle on 5 Freeway in San Juan Capistrano Friday
Dabba was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the Kia stopped at the scene and complied with investigators. Neither drugs nor alcohol was a suspected factor in the crash.
An investigation into the crash is underway.
