Davis, CA: Major Injury Traffic Accident on Interstate 80
1 Seriously Injured in Davis Motorcycle Crash on Interstate 80 near Mace Boulevard Off-Ramp
Davis, California (February 15, 2021) – One person was seriously injured Saturday evening in a motorcycle accident in Davis, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
Just after 5:05 p.m. Saturday, February 13, emergency personnel responded to the eastbound Interstate 80 near Mace Boulevard exit for a report of a traffic collision. Interstate 80 is also known as Lincoln Highway.
According to the authorities, a man was riding his motorcycle when, for unknown reasons, he collided with a Toyota Scion in the eastbound lane of Interstate 80.
One person sustained major injuries, including a fractured left knee, and was taken to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment. The name and condition of the victim were not immediately disclosed.
No other details about the crash were immediately provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
