Darren Wilmbley Hospitalized after San Luis Obispo Crash on California Boulevard and Foothill Boulevard
San Luis Obispo, California (March 26, 2019) – A driver was injured Sunday evening in a traffic accident in San Luis Obispo, according to a local news source.
The wreck occurred at around 6:35 p.m. Sunday, March 24 at or near the intersection of California and Foothill boulevards.
Officials said Darren Wimbley, 32, was driving a Kia when for an unknown reason his vehicle collided with a big rig truck at or near the intersection.
Major Injury Accident on California Boulevard in San Luis Obispo
Wimbley sustained major injuries and was transported to a trauma center, where he was listed in critical condition. He was expected to survive.
The 43-year-old driver of the big rig was not injured in the crash.
Neither drugs nor alcohol was suspected factors in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation by the authorities.
