Bakersfield, California (February 19, 2021) – One of the two people who died Wednesday night in a single-vehicle traffic accident in Bakersfield has been identified as Daniel Armando Encinas Davalos, 33
The deadly crash occurred at around 10:25 p.m. Wednesday, February 17, in the 500 block of Ming Avenue, authorities said.
According to the authorities, a vehicle was traveling eastbound on Ming Avenue when, for unknown reasons, it drifted to the right and crashed into a wood utility pole.
The vehicle then struck another fixed object. The impact caused the vehicle to split into two.
Deadly Car Accident on Ming Avenue in Bakersfield
Davalos was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. A woman was located inside the wrecked vehicle and was also declared dead at the scene.
Two other men were transported to Kern Medical with major injuries.
It remains unclear whether alcohol or drugs were a factor in the accident.
