Damian Avina Among Two Men Killed in Modesto Big Rig Collision on Highway 132 at Hart Road
Modesto, California (March 24, 2020) – Damian Avina, 22, of Crows Landing was among two men killed in a big rig crash on Saturday morning near Modesto, according to the Stanislaus County Coroner’s Office.
The wreck happened on Highway 132 at Hart Road at about 6:50 a.m. March 21.
According to the CHP, Harinder Chhina, 39, of Tracy was driving a big rig westbound on Highway 132 when it collided with a Volvo heading south on Hart Road.
Damian Avina Among 2 Killed in Modesto Crash
Damian was a passenger in the Volvo. He and the driver, Luis Garibay-Avina, 28, of Crows Landing, were both killed in the collision.
Cchina was not hurt in the collision.
CHP said drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played a role in the accident.
The incident is under investigation.
