Canyon Lake, California (July 16, 2019) – Curt Mayer from Canyon Lake, has been identified as the motorcyclist who was struck and badly hurt by a drunk driver in the area of  Canyon Lake Friday morning.

The motorcycle collision happened at approximately 5:15 a.m. July 12, on Scott Road.

The accident happened when Mayer was hit by a vehicle driven by an alleged drunk driver while riding his motorcycle. The initial report showed that Mayer was heading to work at the time of the collision.

Mayer was transported to a trauma center for treatment of severely injured leg. As per the report, Mayer is in stable condition but will require several surgeries.

Meanwhile, the crash is still under an active investigation.
