1 Pedestrian Killed, 1 Hospitalized after Cupertino Crash at Rancho San Antonio

Cupertino, California (October 1, 2019) – According to a local news report, a pedestrian was killed and another was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon after a traffic accident in the area of Cupertino.
The accident was reported at about 12:52 p.m. at Rancho San Antonio County Park.
Authorities said two pedestrians were walking in the area when for undermined reasons, they were hit by a vehicle.
One of the victims sustained severe injuries and was taken to a hospital where that person later died.
The second pedestrian was also taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The driver of the vehicle involved did not stop to render aid to the victims and fled the scene.
Authorities later located the suspect vehicle and arrested the driver. The suspect was then transported to the Santa Clara County Main Jail in San Jose on suspicion of vehicular homicide.
