Crescent Mills, California (April 12, 2021) – Two people were hospitalized, one of them with serious injuries, after a motorcycle collided with a car Sunday evening in Crescent Mills, a census-designated place in Plumas County, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The accident happened just before 7:00 p.m. on Highway 89 at Mile Marker 9.8.

The motorcycle collided with a Kia Sorento for unknown reasons, blocking the roadway in both directions.

An air ambulance and a ground ambulance were dispatched to the scene to transport a male and female party who were injured in the crash.

The male patient was flown by CareFlight to Renown Regional Medical Center with major injuries, and the female patient was taken via ground ambulance to Plumas District Hospital with minor injuries.

The motorcycle was towed away with moderate front-end damage, and the Sorento also with moderate front-end damage.

CHP is investigating the incident.
