74-Year-Old Cottonwood Man Killed in Red Bluff Pedestrian Crash on Interstate 5 near Sunset Hills Drive

Red Bluff, California (April 8, 2021) – A 74-year-old Cottonwood man was hit and killed by a vehicle on Tuesday night in Cottonwood, Red Bluff, authorities said.
The deadly pedestrian accident occurred at about 11:40 p.m., on April 6, on Interstate 5 just north of Sunset Hills Drive.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the Cottonwood man was walking in the southbound lanes of Interstate 5 when he was struck by a 2021 Honda Civic, driven by Adrienne Randall, 40, from Forest Grove, Oregon.

Sadly, the Cottonwood man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Traffic on the roadway was stopped for an unknown period due to the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
