Luis Romero Killed in Napa Motorcycle Accident on Highway 128 near Wragg Canyon Road
Napa, California (March 24, 2021) – 29-year-old Luis Daniel Romero has been identified as the Rio Linda victim who died following a motorcycle collision Sunday evening in Napa, according to a report by the Napa County Coroner’s office.
The fatal crash took place at about 5:30 p.m. on Highway 128 east of Wragg Canyon Road.
The accident began when a Harley-Davidson operated by Daniel Romero drifted over the solid double yellow lines for undetermined reasons.
Romero’s motorcycle then sideswiped a pickup truck operated by 35-year-old Tru Knudsen of Vacaville and an SUV driven by 32-year-old Jacqueline Cochran of Vacaville.

Sadly, Romero died in the wreck.
A 31-year-old passenger riding on the motorcycle was rushed to Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa by REACH helicopter for treatment of minor injuries. Both Luis Daniel and his passenger were wearing helmets at the time of the collision.
Meanwhile, a 14-year-old passenger in the SUV sustained minor hurts and was hospitalized at Kaiser hospital in Vacaville.
Intoxication was not believed to have played a role in the mishap.
Officials shut down Highway 128 in both directions for about one hour and a half as investigation and clean-up took place.
The accident remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
