Three Injured in Corona Car Crash on North Main Street

Corona, California (January 10, 2019) – Three people were injured after a short police pursuit ended in a multi-vehicle collision on Wednesday evening in Corona, according to the Corona Police Department.
The incident took place just before 6 p.m. January 9 in the 4700 block of North Main Street.
Police said officers spotted a vehicle that had earlier been reported to have been involved in a carjacking incident and tried to pull the driver over. The driver failed to stop and led police on a short pursuit on E. Olive Street.
The chase ended when the suspect lost control, crashed into a tree and two other vehicles.
The suspect, later identified as Eric Guzman, 20, of Corona, reportedly tried to flee on foot but was caught and arrested by the police.
Guzman was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. Two other women in the vehicles that were hit by Guzman were also transported to the hospital and were said to be in stable condition.
The incident remained under investigation.
