Contra Costa, California (June 5, 2019) – One person was hospitalized after a motorcycle accident Tuesday afternoon in Contra Costa, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatch.
The crash happened at around 3:27 p.m. Tuesday, June 4, on northbound 680 Freeway, just north of Rudgear Road.
As per the report, a vehicle and a motorcycle crashed for reasons yet to be determined. The vehicle was moved to the right-hand shoulder of the roadway following the crash.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the crash victims. One party was transported to Kaiser Permanente Walnut Creek Medical Center for treatment of minor injuries.
The name of the patient and their current condition was not immediately known.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
Officials blocked lane 1 following the crash. The roadway was cleared as of 4:28 p.m.
No additional information concerning this crash was provided.
An investigation is underway.
