Major Injuries Reported after Contra Costa Accident on 80 Freeway near Cummings Skyway
Contra Costa, California (February 23, 2019) – Major injuries were reported after a two-vehicle collision early Saturday morning in the area of Contra Costa, according to authorities.
The collision happened at around 2:47 a.m. Saturday, on eastbound 80 Freeway, near Cummings Skyway.
As per the officials, two vehicles crashed for unknown reasons.
An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the persons who suffered severe injuries as a result of the collision. The number of victims and their current condition was not immediately known.
Authorities blocked lanes 1, 2 and 3 following the collision.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
No additional details regarding this incident were provided.
