1 Hospitalized after Contra Costa Accident on Highway 24 near Pleasant Hill Road
Contra Costa, California (February 12, 2019) – One person was hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision Tuesday morning in the area of Contra Costa, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened at around 7:42 a.m. Tuesday, on westbound Highway 24, just east of Pleasant Hill.
As per the CHP officials, four vehicles crashed for unknown reasons.
An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties. One person complained of pain as a result of the collision and was transported to John Muir Hospital in Walnut Creek for treatment of minor injuries.
The name of the patient and their current condition was not immediately known.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
The vehicles were blocking lane 1 following the collision. All roads were opened as of 8:41 a.m.
No additional information concerning this incident was provided.
An investigation is underway.
