2 Injured in Concord Car Crash on 680 Freeway near State Route 242
Concord, California (April 19, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a two-vehicle collision that left at least two people injured in Concord on Monday afternoon.
The crash happened along the northbound lanes of Interstate 680 Freeway near State Route 242 at about 12:32 p.m.
A black Kia and a white pickup truck were involved in the crash. Whereas the circumstances of the collision were yet to be established, both vehicles reportedly sustained major damages in the crash.
The CHP said two people were injured in the accident and were transported to John Muir Walnut Creek for treatment of unspecified injuries.
The collision resulted in a temporary closure of two lanes of the freeway.
