Willows, California (May 14, 2019) –25-Year-Old Clint Johns has been identified as one of the four people hurt in a traffic collision in Willows Sunday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash, which happened at about 1:00 p.m. May 12, occurred on Highway 99, between Willows and Orland.
The accident happened when a Toyota Tacoma pickup truck driven by 58-year-old Lianxay Louankang from Corning was hit by oncoming Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck driven by Clint Johns, 25, of Orland at the intersection. Louankang was initially driving on County Road 18 and failed to yield to oncoming traffic at the time of the accident, as per the CHP report. Due to the impact, Toyota ended on striking an olive tree.
One passenger in the Toyota sustained significant injuries following the wreck. The victim was transported to Enloe Medical Center by an ambulance for treatment. Three other victims including Johns suffered minor injuries.
Both vehicles were reported to have sustained major damage in the crash.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected to be a factor during the occurrence of the accident.
The investigators handling the case are gathering more details, and evidence to precisely identify why the crash happened.
