2 Injured in Claremont Collision on 10 Freeway near Indian Hill Boulevard Off-Ramp

Claremont, California (June 20, 2021) – Two people were hospitalized after a traffic collision that occurred early Sunday morning in Claremont, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at around 4:17 a.m. on eastbound 10 Freeway, just west of Indian Hill Boulevard off-ramp.
As per the report, two vehicles collided under unclear circumstances.
A tire that may have detached from one of the cars was on the roadway, and two other vehicles struck it, causing airbags in one of them to be deployed.
A West Covina Police Department off-duty officer was on the scene and advised that one of the cars overturned in the crash.
Firefighters responded to the scene and blocked the Nos. 2, 3, and 4 lanes.
Authorities said the crash resulted in major injuries, and two patients were transported to Pomona Valley Hospital in unknown conditions.
The report also added that a separate two-vehicle collision with property damage only also occurred at the same scene.
CHP is investigating the collisions.
