3 Hospitalized after Clairemont Collision on Genesee Avenue at Chateau Drive
Clairemont, California (November 13, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Thursday afternoon traffic accident that left three people injured in Clairemont.
The two-vehicle accident happened at about 2:30 p.m., on November 12, on Genesee Avenue at Chateau Drive.
According to the police, a 2012 two-door Infiniti sedan, driven by a 23-year-old man, was traveling northbound on Genesee Avenue when it ran the red light at Chateau Drive in unclear circumstances.
Unfortunately, the Infiniti T-boned a 2020 Jeep Wrangler Sahara turning left from Chateau Drive onto Genesee at the time, the officials said.
3 Injured in 2-Vehicle Crash on Genesee Avenue at Chateau Drive
The 23-year-old man sustained multiple spinal fractures in the accident. His passenger, a 19-year-old man, complained of pain.
The Jeep’s driver, a 39-year-old woman, sustained a cut to her head. All three parties were taken to a hospital for treatment.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
