Chula Vista Man Dies, 4 Hurt in Elfin Forest Crash on Harmony Grove Road near Wild Willow Hollow Road

San Diego, California (February 1, 2020) – A 28-year-old Chula Vista man has been identified as the person killed in a head-on collision involving a stolen SUV in Elfin Forest, San Diego, according to authorities.
The fatal collision occurred on Friday, January 31, on Harmony Grove Road near Wild Willow Hollow Road at about 7:40 a.m.
As per the CHP officials, a Subaru WRX driven by a Chula Vista man was heading westbound on Harmony Road when he drifted into an eastbound lane and sideswiped an oncoming Toyota Prius. The Subaru then crashed into a Toyota Highlander operated by 38-year-old Ardeshir Tooraji of Carlsbad. The Highlander rolled over as a result of the accident.
Fatal Head-On Crash in Elfin Forest on Harmony Grove Road
The Subaru driver died in the collision. His name is yet to be released.
Tooraji and his three passengers suffered minor injuries in the crash. The three passengers were identified as, two women, ages 34 and 38, and a 26-year-old man. The four patients from San Marcos were treated at the crash site.
The Prius driver, identified as a 49-year-old San Marcos man, did not suffer injuries in the crash.
Officials confirmed that the Highlander was stolen and Tooraji was arrested on suspicion of auto theft and possession of stolen property.
Officials closed Harmony Grove near Wild Willow Hollow Road following the collision.
An investigation is ongoing.
